We support children, young people and adults with disabilities through practical skills development, care services, advocacy and community-based support in the Great Kei area.
Great Kei Disability Multipurpose Centre works to address the social, economic and developmental challenges experienced by persons with disabilities in rural communities.
Through skills development, home-based care, advocacy and family support, we help beneficiaries participate more fully in their communities and access opportunities that improve their independence and wellbeing.
Your support helps the Centre continue providing skills training, home-based care, advocacy, referrals and essential assistance to persons with disabilities and their families.
Donations can help us strengthen our programmes, obtain necessary resources and reach more beneficiaries across rural communities.
Â
Our programmes respond to the different needs of persons with disabilities while strengthening the families and community systems that support them.
Support groups and counselling sessions provide a safe environment for beneficiaries and families to receive encouragement, share experiences and build resilience.
We connect beneficiaries with government departments, healthcare providers, education opportunities, social services, assistive devices and grant-related support.
Where resources allow, the Centre provides basic nutritional assistance and essential items to vulnerable beneficiaries during programme activities.
The Centre hosts community outreach programmes, awareness campaigns, training sessions and support activities for persons with disabilities and their families.
